Each of my sculptures is based on my ongoing self-education about my family heritage. The art pieces often create a discussion among the audience, and even children get an oppportunity to discover my creations and better understand their own heritage.

The art is comprised of many different media including paper-clay, handmade papers, precious metal leaf, paint, gemstones and fiber.

My current series is entitled 'Vintage Postage Stamps from Israel'. Much of Israel's history is depicted through her postage and each stamp tells another part of that story. Incorporating the stamps and their stories into my work has been artistically challenging, but I regard the results as my gift to my heritage.

My wife Kari and I hope that our work and its stories will continue to bring together and educate many people, thus ensuring a rich cultural future for us all.
