Wen Redmond delights in creating gentle tonal contrasts and layers of fiber that play with each other. Her silk organza collages include an extra dimension of light, that, depending on the viewing angle of the observer, create patterns.

She uses original digital photographs in unusual ways. Her latest work involves multiple layered pieces using photographs printed on silk organza and stitched textural fabrics. These pieces initiate a 3-D reflection that moves as the viewer changes positions. Redmond calls this distinctive multi-layer technique 'Holographic Images'.

It is a fascinating use of fiber in art. Wen Redmond continues to evolve her chosen medium to see what new boundaries it can find, to stretch its perception.
