Alicia and Beatriz Kelemen began working as glass designers in their home country of Venezuela in 1983; they are now based in the Asheville, NC area.

They are both architects by training, and develop their wall art and standing sculptures using architecturally influenced designs, techniques and materials to bring desired optic effects, forms and textures into a wide array of geometrical structures and colors.

Included in their mixed media line are works including travertine, copper, gold leaf, copper and gold wire along with glass. The Kelemens' work is included in many worldwide collections both public and private, and has won several national and international awards.
