Adel Chefridi designs and makes his jewelry from beginning to finish, using hand-selected natural gemstones. In designing and making the pieces, simplicity, wearability, durability, and openness to light and movement is emphasized.

Most of his designs start with the discovery of a beautiful gemstone. Chefridi regards gemstones as living beings, carrying life and energy and delivering beauty, and therefore they should be treated with the respect a beautiful living being deserves. His designs are an attempt to present and enhance the innate beauty of both the gemstones and the wearer.

Adel Chefridi was born in the old city of Tunis, along the Mediterranean coast. He came to New York in 1998, and founded his business in 1999.
