Born into an artistic family, Cynthia started drawing at an early age. Her growing up in Michigan and vacationing at all the Great Lakes gave her the opportunity to collect many stones and fossils along the shorelines, thus creating a life-long love of collecting and learning about minerals and gemstones. During thirty years of of creating her unique jewelry, Cynthia has perfected many aspects of jewelry-making, while primarily using the construction method with some casting.

"My ideas come to me by many different ways. I always have my stones within reach and view of my drawing table. This helps me to create many diverse combinations with the stones. Surrounding myself with images and things that I love (Monet, Vermeer and Rembrandt prints, antiques, and a beautiful studio), all lend very well to the creative process for me."
