Hsu Studios is a husband and wife team operating a small studio in rural West Virginia. For more than 33 years we have produced works of art in various media.

Blending rich color and fluid form with motion, our light dynamic mobiles illustrate the interdependence of the whole. We bring together form, function and color in all our finely finished original artworks that transcend trsaditional form and complement all environments.

Our chosen medium for the mobiles is aluminum, one of the most ubiquitous materials in the world. With this basic element found in almost every industry, our challenge is to create using a common material in an uncommon way. We texture, then anodize the mill-finished aluminum; anodizing oxidizes the surface and allows it to be dyed, providing an infinite array of color possibilities.
