A Story of Handmade Flowers

In my native country of Thailand, as a young girl I was in the care of my Grandmother Samlee. For fun we would mix tapioca with glue and she taught me how to form different flowers and animals.

Later on I came across a refined Japanese clay that would hold a form with strength, but wasn't as brittle as the polymer clays. I add color by mixing various pigments, form the plants and flowers, let them air dry, hand paint the flowers for finer detail, and then create the arrangements.

I am now happy to share the continued artwork of my grandmother with you and the world.
