Janet MacCausland creates inquisitive, sensuous and artistic studies exploring the natural world. She specializes in nature, seascapes, underwater photography and landscapes in a classical manner, as well as some photo-composites and photo-serigraphs. When working under water, unwieldy strobes must be carried into the water along with the sixty or so pounds of diving equipment necessary to get to eye level of the creatures she photographs in our waters.

MacCausland has been making photographic images since her father showed her how to use a black and white darkroom at the age of 15.
