I search for the most interesting, unusual and sometimes discarded or damaged pieces of wood. I use dyed epoxy to make otherwise unusable wood into functional objects. I spend hours sanding and then hand rubbing oil and wax into each piece so it is aesthetically beautiful and wonderful to touch

My Process
Each product starts with a design. I spend time trying to find the best piece of wood for the project. Because most projects involve epoxy, I find wood that will use the epoxy well, with live edges, knot holes and cracks and ideally strong grain. I mix pigment into the epoxy and do multiple pours. I then spend hours sanding and then hand rubbing oil and wax into each piece so it is not only beautiful to look at, but wonderful to hold.
