Lamountain ForgeWorks started in 2021 as a passion project seeking to tap into the universal stream of creativity to make functional pieces of art. I have always felt a deep connection to humanity’s innate vision to take raw materials and craft breathtaking things. This desire has connected us as a people throughout history. It is my mission to carry that tradition forward with every project.
My Process
Each piece starts as a blank piece of steel and before being forged to shape. Every blade is heat treated and tempered with precision in a temperature controlled kiln. I then finish grind the blade before meticulously hand sanding to a perfect finish. Handle wood starts as a block that is cut to a rough shape before being sanded to exact shape and tested repeatedly for proper feel. The handle is then hand sanded and buffed. My goal is to create functional art that will last for generations!
