Madeline and Ori combine their artistic styles to create uniquely whimsical and intricate glasswork. Together they bridge the detail elements of flame sculpting with the scale of blown glass. Madeline's technical processes are inspired by her signature piece, the octopus, with amorphous movements derived from the qualities of molten glass. Ori’s use of surface pattern and colorwork bring the glass to life through elements such as woodgrain, feathering, and kaleidoscope patterning. From fantastical to functional, Shir Glassworks highlights the beauty of connections within the natural world. Based in Greenfield, MA
