Exhilarating Tranquility To me, painting is about capturing the pulse of a place—the exact moment where the world feels both entirely alive and perfectly still. My work centers on a concept I call exhilarating tranquility: a deliberate balance of vibrant color and serene atmosphere that invites you to pause, breathe, and connect. Inspired by the raw, quiet beauty of my surroundings, I translate the energy of the natural world into light and color on canvas. My creative roots run deep. Raised in the quintessential small town of Sunderland, Massachusetts, I was shaped by a landscape of classic New England beauty and the artistic legacy of my grandmother. An oil painter herself, she passed down a creative spark that I carry into every piece I create (alongside her shared devotion to traditional Italian cooking and the company of good dogs). Today, I paint from my studio on the scenic fringe of the Quabbin Reservoir, where I live with my husband, Paul, and our Great Pyrenees, Mookie. Through my art, my goal is simple: to capture a fleeting moment of grace and bring that enduring light into your world.
